Kuala Perlis Dinner after Convo

Time:  8:30pm
Date: 19th June 2012
Place: Kuala Perlis
Occasion: Celebration of a job well done.
Description: After spending all those hours working on the flower-selling business, my wife decided to treat everyone involved to a grand dinner at Kuala Perlis for some food food and glorious food!

The following pictures carry a disclaimer, which is: We are not responsible for any anxiety and food angst caused by all the delicious, tasty, aromatic, and totally filling wonderful food. ;-)

So glad that the UiTM Arau Convocation ended well... well enough to celebrate! Alhamdulillah...

Uh-oh... my wife picking up a call... another convocation? O.O

We decided to take a break from the normal stall, and try this one... no, we did not order any venison satay...

Watermelon juice for everyone!

All smile before the festivities begin...

Our waiter... err... waitress... waiter? Hmmm... I seriously wanted to ask, but left it well alone... hahahahahaha... didn't want to rock the boat... since they are still preparing our food for the night! :-D

Yet another one... ermm... make-up... much?!?! hehehehe

The table has been set full of food, well? What else... shall we begin??

Adam took this picture of what-goes-on-below-table... ;-)

A new menu dish? Hmmmm.... I wonder what recipe is suitable for sugar glider? hehehehe

Almost there... starting to slow down... hahahaha

After dinner? Well, the kids wanted dessert... what better than ice-cream.... mmmmmmm...

Not just the kids... the moms wanted some too! :-D

Yummmmmmmmmmyyyyy!

Some of the selection available for cooking...

Well, the preparation for the next convocation needs to be done... straight after dinner, stock check!

Meanwhile, the kids are taken for a treat! Thanks Kak Farah...

Posing after the ride :-)

That's all folks! :-)

Once you get whipped...

you'll never be the same again!!! No, there's no reference to anything other than whipped cream! That's right, the wonderfully fluffy white diary product that you can get almost in any supermarket, hypermarket, what-ever-market you care to mention.

My fond memory of whipped cream is during those stressful examination periods during my undergraduate days (mind you, I had extra exams since I did six years worth of exams for two degrees!) when I used to save up some money to get the spray cans filled with delicious whipped cream. No preparation needed, didn't bother with any fruits or added ingredients,... just pure unadulterated whipped cream, sprayed directly into the mouth and downed with a glass of full cream milk. You could say I indulged in dairy products to the fullest when I spent my youth in Sydney.... mmmmm... chocolate eclairs, custard tarts, pavlova cakes, mmmmm.....

Needless to say, it was an experience that I wanted to pass down to my kids... and boy did they enjoy it! The following pics provide the evidence.... hehehehe...

The following is the non-conventional way of eating "roti canai"....
Adam loving every bit of it! :-)
A more healthier version... cream and berries!!
 Strawberries and blueberries... mmmmm....
Alissa doing the 'dirty deed'! She looks so mischievous here...
The final product... ermm... where's the rest? What? There is no "the rest"??? Ahh..... pure dairy...
 Adam wearing the smile...
 Sofiya wearing the smile...
 Alissa tucking in....
... guess you were wondering where the pictures of myself and Nurul are? Well, I firmly held on to the camera... suffice to say that I was grinning from ear to ear! :-D

Happy Eid-ul Fitri everyone!

A belated wish... well it is considered late since it started yesterday, for all the Muslims out there who are celebrating this right now... from all of us, to all of you. Eid Mubarak!

"Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir dan Batin"

This is a picture of Adam, all ready to go for Eid prayers. All the others are still fast asleep. This year, Adam and I went to the Titi Kerbau Mosque for the prayers.

The loving ladies of my life! They make me smile, laugh, cry, happy, and sad at the same time. :-)

err... pic of me?!!!

Me and the kids.... Alissa doesn't look this bad in real life. ;-)

My first born is now taller than her pregnant (twins) grand aunt!

Such a sweet smile Alissa!

At Nurul's aunt's new house...

Us!

Us again.... sheesh... need to get a DSLR next...!!! :-D

The Crystal Mosque at dusk...

Time:  7:33pm
Date: 5th June 2012
Place: Masjid Kristal, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu
Occasion: Solat Maghrib
Description: We decided to drop by the Masjid Kristal (Crystal Mosque) on our way back home. It was beautiful in daylight, but at night time, it gives a different look... all mystical. Unfortunately I do not have a great camera (yet!) to capture some of the moments in my life, but I do own a Blackberry (thanks to JHEP, UUM) with a decent camera (decent for non-moving pictures!). So here is the result of my 'photomanship'.... ;-)

One of the minarets from base-view.
 A few steps back.... SNAP!
 The Crystal Mosque... close up!
 Another angle...
 Minarets included...
 The other angle...
I must have sneezed when taking this one. Hmmm... after looking back at the pictures above, they are better than I expected. :-)
