Time out... Big Bear!

Time: 9:56pm
Date: 2nd June 2012.
Location: Jitra Mall.
Occasion: Looking for stock.
Description: Nurul was worried that she did not have enough stock for her flower selling business, so we decided to go for a trip to Jitra Mall after a friend told her about a shop that sold relatively cheap bears. When we arrived, we went directly to the first floor souvenir shop since it was the only shop that we knew of that sold the desired merchandise. At it turned out, the prices were too steep, and the management were not prepared to give traders discounts. So, we left empty handed... but as we were leaving the premises, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a huge bear just waiting patiently in the corner... just attracting glances by its sheer size. What else? Photo op... hehehe... the shop owner gave the go ahead and said it was free of charge  (some shops actually charge RM1 or RM2 just for taking a photo with a bear this large). So here's the result of the said photoshoot (apologies, quality is not that great since all were taken using a phone camera):

You may noticed Sofiya missing... this was because she was sulking away elsewhere since she did not get the doll that she wanted.
Adam moving... blur!
Alissa giving that "hurry up DAD!" look....
Big bear...
Big guitars! :-)

Business, business, business,...

In support of my wife's many businesses, on 15-16 May 2012, I was on location at UiTM Arau, Perlis, helping out with what ever that needed to be done. Transporting equipment, fetching flowers at 4am from Changloon bus station, sending spare change, organising the layout, putting up the tent, etc... and that's just starting the event. Closing is another story... which includes dismantling the tent, transport, cleaning up, arranging the store, etc.

Okay, enough talk, here's some pictures.
Ribbons, ribbons, ribbons.... it looks even more grand in daylight.
How the stall looks like from afar... the picture does not do it justice. Plus in the morning, all those racks were brought outside, so the location looks much larger.
The Farming Association left some in a cage next to our stall.
Alissa, making a small bouquet for her teacher for Teacher's Day.
Yes, they are real... and purple too!
I made these myself.... ?... don't believe me? The nerve... ;-)
These are real too, not plastic, but the colour is fake. These originally cream-coloured roses were put in blue-dyed water... and eventually the dye seeped into the petals.
Rack of the artificial flowers and bears.
 A mugshot of me!
"What? Can't a guy hold a bunch of flowers?"
 "That's it... buy, buy, buy!"
During the nights, my brother-in-law was game enough to stay back and perform Guard duties for the duration of the event. Thankfully he wanted to, otherwise I'd have to do it! >.<

Sorry, no day pictures... it was HECTIC! Too many people and not enough hands... besides, it also rained, so there was much scrambling around trying to keep everything dry.

It is on the 18 March 2001, the following slides were on display on my computer during my wedding reception at my place, 115 Taman Damai Jaya, Jitra, Kedah. Why do I post it earlier? Hehehe... anniversary is today! Time for some reminiscing.... :-D
